County Custody and Booking Records

For current Fayette County custody, a booking sheet, or a booking photograph, contact the office that operates the jail. No dedicated booking-photo fee or response time is published, so request an estimate before processing.

City Police Records

For a city incident, start with the named arresting agency and ask who received the person for booking.

Call 911 for emergencies. Winfield crosses the county line, so confirm whether Winfield, Marion County, or Fayette County holds the relevant record.

Court Case and Disposition

For the court outcome, certified copies, or docket location, contact Fayette County Circuit Clerk Samantha Howard at 205-932-4617. The courthouse office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The clerk cannot provide legal advice.

State and Federal Custody

A sentenced Alabama prisoner belongs in the ADOC Inmate Search or ADOC public-record process, not the Fayette jail roster. Federal sentences use the BOP inmate locator. ICE custody uses the Online Detainee Locator. Those systems answer different custody questions and should not be treated as county booking feeds.
